* These activities are open for people without a festival pass.

HOW TO REGISTER


  1. Create a new account or log into your existing account. Please note that if you register as a couple, each participant will need to create their own account.

  2. Click on the ‘Register’ button and select the pass you want to purchase.

  3. Select any extra options you want.

  4. In case you want to register as a couple, add a partner by providing their email address. Please note that your partner must select the same type of pass.

  5. Hit the ‘Apply for registration’ button. If you registered as single, hit the ’Join waiting list’ button.

  6. Once your registration is approved (this can take up to a week), you will receive an email with payment instructions using Visa, Mastercard, Bancontact/Payconiq or Ideal. When we receive your payment, your registration is secured. We kindly ask you to do your payment within 7 days, as we don't want to keep other people unnecessarily long on the waiting list.

  7. After paying, your ticket will be immediately and automatically sent to your email address 👯


IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • To give everyone a fair chance of getting in, we will first open the registrations for 48h. This means that everyone who registers between 11th January at 20:00h and 13th January at 20:00h has the same chance of getting in.

    ⏳ After this, we will take 1 week to process all the registrations that happened in those 48h. This means that you will not immediately hear from us, please be patient and bear with us.

    During this week, we will randomly admit dancers who registered in those 48h. In order to maintain the quality of the festival and to emphasize the "exchange" part, we will seek a good balance between:

    • Belgian and international dancers 🌍

    • Leaders, followers and switch dancers 👯

    👉 If after processing all the registrations of the first 48h the event isn’t sold out yet, we will continue processing the rest of the registrations, and of course you’ll still be able to register afterwards.

  • It’s not necessary, but highly recommended. To keep the festival balanced, we do welcome an equal number of leaders and followers, and we provide spots for switch dancers.

    We’ll match single followers with single leads and let couples who register together in. Couples do not have priority over single registrations, but if there are more leads or follows we won’t be able to match any single dancer with someone in the other role, and then it can be a benefit to subscribe as a couple.

  • GHX is a festival organized entirely by volunteers and we do not aim to make any profit from this event. Instead, our primary goal is to create a memorable experience for dancers, support the artists who are part of the festival, and foster a sense of community. The prices of the tickets are necessary to cover all the festival expenses, and the money goes entirely to:

    🔊 Production costs: Renting the venues, setting up the stages, sound systems, lighting, registration system, website fees, copyrights… all of these are necessary to make the festival possible.

    🎶 Artists: We are extremely lucky to have a wonderful lineup of artists joining the festival (musicians, MC’s, camera crew, performers, DJ’s…) and we want to be able to compensate them properly. They are the essence of the festival!

  • Are you in a difficult financial situation and feel unable to attend GHX?

    We have created a fund to promote solidarity between dancers. The collected money will be used for the sole purpose of providing a discount for dancers who cannot afford to participate to this event.

    If your generosity exceeds the requests received, the leftovers will be donated to Enchanté VZW.

  • We believe that every person at our event has the right to feel comfortable and safe at all times and we want to help provide the means to create such a space. We do not tolerate harassment of anyone and in any form. Anyone engaging in this type of behaviour will be asked to stop and expected to comply immediately.

    We expect all participants to read our Code of Conduct to understand which actions are and aren't tolerated.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES 🙌

We want people to feel safe and secure. We condemn any disruptive behavior against the organization or participants. People that violate the integrity of any participant will be banned from the event.

We, the organisers, cannot be held accountable for any damages or loss of personal belongings. Any lost items found inside our venues during clean-up will be kept for one month after the event. A list of unclaimed items will be donated to charity.

We cannot be held accountable for any injuries you might incur while attending GHX. Please stay safe.

CANCELLATION ❌

"I bought a ticket but I'm not able to attend the festival" We don't offer a refund if you are not able to attend the festival. However, the passes are transferable to other dancers in the same role (leader/follower/switch). If you wish to transfer your ticket to someone else you need to inform us of the name and email address of the person whom you are selling your pass to via the email address registration@gentsehoppers.com. The other person should create an account on the website, but they do not need to register.

"What if the festival gets cancelled?" In case of a force majeure, meaning we have to cancel the festival, we’ll partly refund tickets. We will offer a 75% refund (minus administrative and back up costs). Unfortunately, any other costs or related losses (travel, accommodation etc.) that the participant incurs due to cancellation, cannot be covered by the organisation.

GDPR 📸

By attending GHX you give us permission to use and publish photographs and video material taken during the event of you and your dance partner. We will not sell this media to any third parties.

All personal information provided by the participants during registration will remain confidential.
